Summer/Fall Yoga Wednesday Mornings at the Owenego in Branford

Everyone is welcome!

Drop in for a session or two or dedicate yourself to the entire season!  I will be conducting yoga sessions at the historic Owenego Inn in Branford every Wednesday morning from 7:30-8:45 a.m (see note below about Fall start time) . 

Please note: No Yoga on Sept. 13th  and start time will change from 7:30 to 8 a.m. when we resume on Sept. 20th.  Last class will be November 15th.

Suggested donation $15.

The type of yoga I teach is based on Mindfulness and grounded in the Anusara style of practice.  Anusara is flowing with grace and pays attention to alignment and that helps to keep the practitioner safe.

My approach celebrates life and lends some humor and levity along with a committed practice. I am a Certified teacher of Yoga for Osteoporosis.

Kate trained with Todd Norian in the Anusara style of yoga which means attention to alignment and flowing with grace. She has been teaching for 20 years including Mindfulness-based Yoga for Stress Reduction, Prenatal Yoga, Mom and Baby Yoga, Yoga for Kids and most recently was certified by Dr Loren Fishman and Ellen Saltonstall to teach Yoga for Osteoporosis.

This past January, eighteen of us spent a week in Retreat at the Concordia Eco-Resort on the Island of St. John, Virgin Islands. We enjoyed morning yoga that was adapted for any body, followed by breakfast, then a couple hours of Mindfulness and meditation followed by lunch and then an excursion either hiking, snorkeling or just hanging out at the beach or pool.  At the end of the week we had connected and made new friends, strengthened our bodies, eased our minds and replenished our spirits.  I do hope you can join us this coming year!

I am so calm about my torn up tire from driving to Newark airport and getting the rim repaired and getting the new tire and riding on a donut and I have stopped cursing potholes and have accepted that I am throwing away gelt hard earned and staying mellow and mindful all day at work.  Haven’t even put all my clothes away from trip. Thanks for a transformative adventure!!
