Sometimes people will assume that yoga is only for the flexible and the fit but yoga really means yoking the mind and body together and, we could add, doing so in a compassionate way.  There are really many more parts to yoga than just the postures or asanas.  There are ethical disciplines, and also breath work, called pranayama, and meditation and concentration.  Yoga is not meant to be a competitive venture, rather an exploration into one’s self.
